LDF Construction team members recently attended the Governor’s Conference on Diverse Business Development (Marketplace). The conference is focused on diversity and inclusion for businesses like ours to not only participate in projects around the state, but to have success.

Marketplace offers a host of resources, contacts from around the Midwest, and tools to ensure we are able to continue to grow. A few of the greatest benefits of the conference are connecting with business resources, identifying funding sources, meeting with potential contract owners, and of course, networking.

Some LDF Construction teammates attend The Governor’s Conference on Diverse Business Development in Milwaukee.

A highlight of the conference is the networking reception where our peers receive Business and Community Development Awards, Diverse Business State Contractor Awards, and 8(a) Graduate of the Year and Minority Business Champion Awards.

LDF Construction’s President, Business Development Director and Project Administrator were happy to take away a wealth of knowledge, opportunity ideas, and new industry connections from this year’s Marketplace.

Another highlight was the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Tribal Excellence Award, awarded to our parent company, the LDF Business Development Corporation at this year’s Tribal Transportation Conference hosted by the Oneida Nation.

WisDOT Tribal Excellence Awards recognize individuals, organizations and businesses who have made exemplary contributions and service to building and enhancing partnerships with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and Wisconsin Tribal communities. WisDOT recognized the BDC for its efforts to advance the Workforce Development & Business Training Center in the Lac du Flambeau Business Park, and its work with LDF Construction, a BDC business unit, to secure federal and state certifications.
